Year Round Pole Vault Coaching for All Levels!
With 25,000 participants in the US, and an average of 1 death per year, pole vaulting has the highest death rate per participant of any sport, earning its reputation as “the most dangerous sport” according to the American Journal of Sports Medicine. The Florida Pole Vault Academy has been working to provide a safe environment for youth athletes to learn to pole vault correctly and safely with help from a professional coach in the Tampa Florida area. Almost all Florida high school track & field teams compete in the pole vault, however very few teams have a knowledgeable pole vault coach to instruct athletes on the proper safe technique. This is why the Florida Pole Vault Academy was formed

OUR MISSION
The Florida Pole Vault Academy is a non-profit organization sponsored by Leidel Fitness, created to provide free coaching of pole vault safety and proper coaching of pole vault technique to un-coached or under-coached youth, and to provide pole vault equipment to schools in need.ABOUT US
The Florida Pole Vault Academy currently conducts free pole vault safety
clinics throughout Florida, and provides proper pole vault technique
training year around through their official Amateur Athletic Union Club.
FPVA president, Bob Leidel is a Certified Pole Vault Coach through the national pole vault coaches association and the pole vault safety certification board. Bob currently coaches pole vaulters at Tampa Catholic High School in Tampa, FL. Here, he conducts pole vault training throughout the year, as part of the FPVA.

To attend, an athlete must be registered with the Amateur Athletic Union as a member of the Florida Pole Vault Academy, have all FPVA application & waiver forms filled out, and all FPVA membership dues paid.
